I admit...

Kids learn to talk from their parents. Usually what they say, they have heard somewhere, whether it be tv, movies, friends, or their families. That said, these are some of the phrases coming out of Ambree lately...

Ambree was trying to help Brielle get dressed and Brielle was not cooperating. She was running all over the place and I could tell that Ambree was getting frustrated. She said, "Brielle, if you don't put these pants on, I regret to tell you that I'm going to put them on Bailey instead".

Ambree has been chatting with her friend, Isabelle, on the phone a lot lately and today their conversation was about a mean girl, whom I'm sure was completely made up. Apparently this mean girl puts Isabelle in a vase whenever she sees her(?). They talked about telling this girl that their houses were on main street so she couldn't find our real houses. Anyways, tonight Ambree brought up again this mean girl and all the mean things she does. So I asked Ambree who this girl was, and she replied, "Isabelle and I don't really know her name, but we will find out in the month of June".

Bailey couldn't find her softie, which is usually a tragedy in our house. We were all looking around and Ambree found it and exclaimed, "Bailey, it appears you left your softie on your bed".

And my personal favorite, please don't judge...

This morning Isabelle called a few times and one of those times I called out to Ambree that it was Isabelle for her, to which Ambree replied, "Damnit, it's Isabelle again?"

Isabelle, Ambree, Bailey and Brielle.

Ambree and the girls just love Isabelle. I'm positive Ambree didn't mean that because she enjoys talking to Isabelle. And Joe and I couldn't get mad, we were laughing too hard.

Buddy!

We were so lucky to have Auntie and this little guy surprise us with a visit from China. It was our first time meeting Baby Will. He definitely captured our hearts... Ambree cried for a few days after they left back to China.

(please excuse the post-workout, not yet showered look... ugh!)

We had so much fun snuggling this guy...
so cuddly and cute!!!
Makes me want a little one of my own.
Too bad Joe's just not convinced.
Yet...

Total hilarity

Yesterday on our merry little way to the grocery store, Brielle announced from the back seat, "Mom, I can totally see our house from here!" I had a laugh and asked her to repeat because it was so funny. Then, as we pulled up to the store, she said, "Our van is totally big." I laughed some more. I totally wonder where she picked that word up?

The other day I asked Bailey who her very best friend in the whole world was. She replied, "Ellie because we comed (came) here together." So so cute!

PS Yes, Christmas comed to our house, as did Ambree's birthday and a few other occasions. I promise to post pictures soon, mom.

A funny little story

In September Joe bought us tickets for Gary Allan. Joe loves Gary's music and his dad does as well, but Gary doesn't play in big venues, only smaller ones. So when Joe saw that Gary was coming to Salt Lake, he jumped on and quickly bought us and his parents, tickets. When we got downtown, we realized the concert was a bar. Personally I loved it. I thought it was way more personal in a smaller venue as opposed to a big one. Anyways, like I said before, we were with my mother- and father-in-law, who also happens to be the bishop of our ward. How funny when we ran into someone from our ward, there in the bar. She looked up and couldn't believe her bishop was there too!

The Eli Young Band...

...and Gary!

Oh, and my smokin' hot honey. He got his bum grabbed by some girls. I told him he looked hot in those pants!!

The reason our house always seems so ChAoTiC...

Any questions?

this one does not have a quiet voice. she's tried and tried but it's just not there.
I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

volume aside, she is such a great big sister. her sisters think she is awesome and they try to do everything she does.

you've never met a sweeter, more sensitive child. movies such as The Land Before Time have been known to bring her to tears.

she LOVES to laugh. she can turn any situation into something to laugh about. I need her for that!

she likes to do her chores without being asked. if I happen to ask her she says, "Oh... you didn't just ask me to make my bed, okay?" and then run off to do it. when she's done, she leads me into her room with my eyes closed to surprise me.

loves loves LOVES soft cuddly animals. the stuffed versions work just as well.

she can sing amazingly well (and amazingly loud!).

always lets us know how much she loves us. what a little lover! and she is nice to cuddle with, warm and soft.

she is one smart cookie. to keep her busy the other day, I asked her to write me a grocery list. she wrote what she wanted from the store and drew corresponding pictures. pretty funny to see her fish drawing with bubbles coming out of it's mouth.

this little miss is the most adorable sleeper you have ever seen. she always looks like she has been posed, with her little face resting on her hands. so pretty!

we sure love our Amb doo. what a great example Bays and Ellie have to look up to. I am so grateful for all her help and for the sweet spirit she brings to our home. it just wouldn't be the same without her! love you Ambs!

Happy Snow Day!

I was so cozy this morning in my bed, snuggled up next to my yummy hubby. I could hear the wind and I knew it was going to be a snow day (that and the weather report!). When I opened the blinds this morning it looked like a regular day but sure enough... by breakfast time it was snowing! Yay for snow! It makes me want to stay inside and drink cocoa and make some sort of yummy soup for dinner. I love it!
